Russian occupiers assault ethnic Georgians in Gali district, Abkhazia

Russian occupiers have stopped a mini-bus taking passengers from Gali district to Zugdidi. The incident occurred in the village of Saberio today.

The Putinist Invaders took the driver to Gali and other passengers-to the Gali headquarters of the occupant regime. They took away three and nine year old children from their mother. The assaulters injured one of the women, who resisted to them, with a barrel-knife.

Russian Occupiers imposed a tax for crossing the boundary line on the Enguri Bridge. People who travel from the occupied region to Zugdidi have to pay 10 GEL, and those who travel vice versa – are taxed with 5 GEL(2 US$).

Russian cyber gang linked to Citigroup hack, tens of millions stolen

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Citigroup’s Citibank subsidiary was hacked over the summer, or even earlier, by cyber criminals thought to be part of a Russian gang associated with members of the hacking enterprise, Russian Business Network. According to government officials, the security breach may have resulted in the theft of tens of millions of dollars. The FBI is reportedly investigating the attack on Citigroup’s computer networks. And people familiar with the breach report that the same gang of hackers attacked at least two other entities, including a U.S. government agency. Citigroup officials are denying the cyber attack and the theft of millions.

The breach was first detected by the US government, and Citigroup reportedly joined forces with the FBI, the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to stop the hackers.

Joe Petro, managing director of Citigroup’s Security and Investigative services, said, “We had no breach of the system and there were no losses, no customer losses, no bank losses.” Petro also denied the reports that the FBI was investigating a theft at the bank. “Any allegation that the FBI is working a case at Citigroup involving tens of millions of losses is just not true.”

The FBI estimates that US losses attributed to online crime topped 0 million in the last year.

Russian occupiers assault local families in Gali district, Abkhazia

Another assault on peaceful local population by Russian occupiers in the village of Nabakevi, Gali district in Georgia`s occupied region of Abkhazia.

The Russian aggressors have assaulted a microbus. Three men were abducted and the occupants demand ransom for them. The pro-Kremlin militants do not allow a child infected by H1N1 flu virus being in the bus to go Zugdidi district on the Georgian-controlled territory.

Prior to it, Russian occupiers robbed eleven Georgian families simultaneously in the village of Tchuburkhinji, Gali district. The aggressors brutally beat members of Kiria, Izoria and Zhvania families. The Russian invaders robbed their homes and seized food products and home appliances, along with money from there.

Detention of Georgian underage citizens illegal

CoE Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg negotiates with the South Ossetian puppet regime on the release of the two Georgian teenagers, Levan Khmiadashvili and Victor Buchukuri, who have been in the captivity of the Pro-Kremlin criminal regime of South-Ossetia since November 4. However, the commissioner does not expect result of the negotiation today.

`It is a very difficult negotiation and there will be no result today,` Hammarberg told journalists at the Ergneti checkpoint, where the parents of the arrested children have been waiting for response from the other side since the morning.

Head of the Provisional Administrative Entity of South Ossetia considers the detention of the underage Georgian citizens from the village of Tirdznisi, Gori district occurred on November 4, illegal. Dimitri Sanakoev says, the teenagers did not carry any arms and they were detained with violation of all international norms. He talked about the Georgian teenagers abducted by the occupational regime at the session of parliamentary committee for the issues of territorial integrity on Thursday.

Abkhazian Pro-Kremlin criminal threatens to arrest Georgian ships

Abkhazian Pro-Kremlin criminal regime threatens to arrest Georgian ships in the neutral waters unless the Georgian side returns the cargo of the Turkish ship, which was to be delivered to Abkhazia.

Pro-Kremlin criminal Ringleader Sergey Shamba, the “abkhazian minister of foreign affairs” said at the meeting with the UN Secretary General`s Special Representative Johan Verbeke that the negotiations between Georgia and Turkey regarding the arrested ship and the cargo it was carrying was not interesting for Abkhazia.
`The issue has not been taken of the agenda. We will consider the incident over only after Georgia returns both the ship and the cargo it was carrying,` Shamba said.

Russian occupiers beat pregnant woman in Nabakevi, Gali district, Abkhazia

Peaceful civilians are still assaulted in the breakaway Abkhazia. The Russian occupiers assaulted a married couple in the village of Nabakevi, Gali district, and beat up a pregnant woman so that she was hospitalized after the incident. Lia Ghrtskaia has been taken to Sokhumi hospital. The aggressors demanded 500 $ from the, but the two did not have money with them.

The Russian invaders have also arrested Tamaz Jobava, 45, while he was fishing. He is still in the occupants` captivity. The y demanded 50,000 dollar ransom from his family.

Sixteen Georgians kidnapped from Gali district, Abkhazia, Georgia

Russian occupiers assaulted the Shonia family in the village of Achigvara, Gali district last night. They were cruelly torturing the family members during two hours. The Russian militants demanded the GEL 4000 they paid the Shonia family after having bought nuts from them. The militants seized money and household goods from the home.

Furthermore, Abkhaz pro-Kremlin militia’s  and the Russian occupiers detained sixteen more Georgians in the Gali district`s village of Tagiloni late last night. Children and the elderly are among the hostages. They were travelling from Zugdidi to the Gali district, when the occupants stopped the mini-bus and took them to yet unidentified direction.
Before the detention, the Russian invaders arrested six ethnic Georgians on the Zugdidi-Gali administrative border. Their whereabouts also remain unknown. The occupants accuse the hostages of crossing `Abkhazian border` illegally.

Russian occupiers detain six civilians in Abkhazia

Russian occupiers have detained six peaceful civilians at the Khurcha-Nabakevi border of the breakaway Abkhazia. They halted a mini-bus driver Gocha Shamugia and five passengers. Shamugia is from the village Kvemo Barghebi and he was taken nut and other products from Gali district to Zugdidi.
The occupiers took the bus with its passengers to Gali. There whereabouts are yet unknown.
The occupants accuse the passengers of crossing borders of `Abkhazia` illegally and demand ransom from their families.

Russian occupiers detain one more Georgian

Another fact of human kidnapping has been reported from the Sachkhere district`s village of Perevi, occupied by Russia. Reportedly, the occupants detained a driver of a route bus, resident of the village Jria on Sunday evening and took him to Tskhinvali isolator.
The facts of detention of ethnic Georgians in the occupied regions have become particularly frequent recently. The occupants and the separatists arrest them mostly for `crossing the borders of the republic illegally`.

Body of young man killed by Russian militiamen taken to Tbilisi

Body of Eduard Gurtskaia, 19, murdered in Moscow, has been taken to Georgia. The young man`s family members, relatives and the Georgian Minister for Refugees and Accommodation met the airplane in the Tbilisi International Airport on Saturday.

The ministry will cover all the expenses for burial of the Eduard Gurtskaia, who was displaced from Georgia`s breakaway region of Abkhazia. His body was taken to his parents` home in town of Tskneti, close to Tbilisi.

Eduard Gurtskaia was killed by beating by Russian militiamen in Moscow on November 23. The body was examined, in consequence of which a suit was filed against the Russian law enforcers. One of the three detained militiamen, who killed Gurtskaia, has been sent to the pre-trial detention.
